  1. Evan

Yeah, that’s cool) But can you focus actually on work while listening or other way round? I’d listen to these tracks during tidying lets say. But at work I prefer to listen silence)

    • Samuel Pustea

It depends what kind of work :)

If you are going to write in any type of form, listening to music might not be very beneficial.

But some work doesn’t require writing and it could very monotonous.

This is where music comes perfectly into play!

  2. Ann

I agree with Evan. I cannot concentrate when music of any sort is on. I want to type to the beat, but I forget what I was going to say. Music is for listening. Silence is for work.

That said, I had one child who could not concentrate unless he was listening to something fast and loud. The music actually helped him focus. When I tried to get him to work without the music, he was too easily distracted.

I think people have different needs. That’s what makes us so interesting.

    • Samuel Pustea

      Sure, don’t blame you.

I can’t usually write at all or “think” of what to write when I listen to music. So I don’t.

Like I mentioned to Evan, there are some tasks where the level of thinking is pretty much low throughout.

That is when music can make it interesting and make the work actually more enjoyable :)

That example could have not been better!

We are all different and sometimes we function on certain levels that are very different from the others.

A very well written comment today Ann.
