How to Combine Social Media with Your Blog’s Images

How to Combine Social Media with Your Blog’s Images

Wouldn’t it be great if your post’s images would automatically encourage a visitor to share the post?

Images within a post or article make it that more enjoyable to read and to learn from.

If you are working on your own blog and trying to produce your very best content, you can never forget the power of the image.

I think every article you produce should contain a featured image, such as this post has, which should be creative and attention-grabbing.

Not only speaking of the featured image, the post’s body should be the location of the other images.

If you think about it, text-only posts are boring and stale. This kinds of content should stay away from your arsenal.

You are a great writer and blogger and people love your content.

Creative and engaging images spice up your content and they give your readers a better taste.

I always say to add at least three or more images per post.

But you may ask, “Where do I get nice pictures that are not expensive?”

I know, I know. Shutterstock has that pricey subscription fee that you’re not fond of.

If you’re on  a budget, you can kiss that kind of service good bye.

Believe it or not, I have found an even better company that offer stock images for cheaper prices.

They are 123RF.

That’s the photo stock company I use at the current moment and have been very well-please with their service!

Anyways, that’s not the point of this article.

The point is, I am going to be giving away a free WordPress plugin that enhances your blog or post’s image right away!

What is this plugin?

Social Media Hover for WordPress is a must have plugin for your WordPress website. I use the plugin on Internet Dreams and you can see an example right below this sentence:

Test is out! (Please Hover)

It gives every image of your post the possibility of being shared. When a visitor hovers with their mouse over a post image, social media icons will popup automatically over the image.

These social media icons can be customized to which social media sites you want to show. So let’s say, you want the social media option of Pinterest to show up, you can do that.

Example: (Please Hover)

How to Combine Social Media with Your Blog's Images

It’s very easy to use. First, you add your own image to the post.

Second, you press this little icon in your editors options bar.

What shows up is the plugin’s options panel. This is where you specify which buttons you want to appear along with options of changing tweet text, Facebook url,  and image alt tag.

After, if you’ve centered the image from before, you will have to re-align the image to how you’re looking for it to look.

That’s it! You know have an image that comes with social media options and encourages those who hover to share.

Here are the list of social media sites this plugin supports:

  • Pinterest’
  • Facebook
  • Twitter
  • Google+
  • LinkedIn
  • Reddit
  • Digg
  • Flickr
  • Dribble

It is compatible with all major browsers.

Why wouldn’t you want such a plugin?

Better question, why would miss the opportunity to get this awesome plugin for free?

I know you wouldn’t and I definitely know I wouldn’t.

Please, join the giveaway if you’re interested in winning this plugin called Social Image Hover for WordPress.
